-Added Material section. You can assign double or single sided materials. It is also possible to assign an image sequence and Book rigger makes every pages diffuse texture the corresponding frame number of that image sequence.

All changes are reflected in the recently released Rigger 3 Revised book which is the first reprint by FanPro or the original material published by FASA. To determine which printing you have, consult the notation on p. 5 in the second column after the Art Staff credits. No indication means first printing. If it says FASA anywhere on it, you have the first, uncorrected printing.

p. 93Torpedo ProbeReplace the first paragraph under Game Effects with the following:The torpedo probe trails an optical cable that allows it to transmit reconnaissance data during its travel journey, up to its maximum range of 15 kilometers (for a total recon time of 100 Combat Turns, or 5 minutes). The probe can be controlled remotely by a rigger and has a maximum depth of 750 meters.

p. 112Add Vehicle Modifications ExampleRich's design doesn't need a datajack port as the rigger adaptation comes with one. This makes his Total Design Points for customizations 480, and his final Design Points 1,402.

Core rulebooks and supplements are primarily composed of rules, and tend to be replaced quickly when a new edition of the game is released. They can be difficult to use with other editions. Second and Third edition were pretty similar, while the Fourth and 20th Anniversary editions were quite different than the first three. Fifth edition built on the Fourth/20th anniversary, while Sixth edition again makes a number of changes to the core rules. Shadowrun Anarchy is almost a different system entirely.

Sourcebooks are a mix of rules and setting. As such, they contain setting information applicable to any edition of the game, and statistics that may need a little updating. Foreign language editions of sourcebooks often contain additional content relating to local variants on the topic in question. Sometimes even whole original books have been published concentrating solely on providing local source material.

Alongside translations of the English-language novels and RPG books, German publishers Heyne and Fantasy Productions put out a number of original German-language novels, written exclusively by German authors and also set in Germany. Even after publication of English-language novels stopped in 2001 both publishers continued to put out original novels in Germany until license shifts occurred in 2008.

By that time, Catalyst Game Labs announced that new English Shadowrun novels would be released starting in 2009. Since then, novels, novellas and "enhanced" fiction books have been released on a regular basis. Enhanced fiction releases include stats for characters and gear as well as plot hooks for adventures related to the book.

Because a rigger typically lacks a large belly, it doesn't hold a lot of pigment. Since synthetic brushes have a harder time holding onto watercolor pigment, a synthetic rigger has a greater tendency to dump its load and produce a lumpy, watery line. Natural bristles will hold more pigment and be more consistent with release. This will allow you to produce a smooth, uniform line.

I own two rigger brushes, an Isabey Series 6222 sable rigger in a slim size 3 that stays at my desk, and a Rosemary R5 sable travel/pocket rigger in a size 6. (You can read my full review of the Rosemary at the link. Unfortunately, it has not performed well for me, but I love love love this Isabey!)

On the left and right are pictured the exact same pair of rigger brushes. The brushes are dry on the left and wet on the right. (The smaller brush is the Isabey; the larger is the Rosemary.) Don't be alarmed if your natural bristles spread when dry! On the right, you can see how a good, natural bristle brush will immediately repoint after a simple water dip.

Below are a few more samples of watercolors where a rigger brush was heavily used. It works especially well with coastal and marsh grasses and palm tree fronds, and it makes animal fur seemingly come alive. I also used a rigger to paint the bamboo in the panda sketch featured at the end of my post here. (Just click on the photos to enlarge.)

I used nothing more than a rigger brush and a fountain pen to complete the sketch above. The rigger's bristles are perfectly shaped to create the individual seeds inside the sea oats as well as the long stems of the grasses. 2ff7e9595c
